PAIR ANTIQUE ITALIAN 800 SILVER COMPOTES CHERUBS ROSES DRUMS TRUMPETS ROCOCO - $1,950 - (Paia, HI)
Up for your consideration is this SPECTACULAR matching pair of antique Italian silver compotes! They are made from solid .800 silver, and have a very ornate design, and a very opulent look! They are very highly detailed with panels of cherubs with garlands and baskets full of roses, and drums with trumpets and roses. The four legs are done in a scrolling leaf design with swags of roses between each leg, ending in a lions paw foot. Each compote measures approximately 5 1/8" tall, by 6 1/4" wide and deep across the lip. Together they weigh 1 lb 11 5/8 oz, or 783.16 grams. Both are hallmarked on the bottom 800 ITALY. They are in EXCELLENT antique condition! They were very tarnished when I found these and I have polished them up, but they could use some extra elbow grease.
