The machine had to be easy to use, built to withstand the abuse that busy shops dish out, easy to load and affordable. The first thing that stands out about the Pro is the layout of the table. Most plasma tables run the gantry along the long axis. The Pro runs the gantry along the short axis. This permits loading from the front of the table without risk of damaging a rail. If space in the shop is an issue, the Pro can be pushed against a wall and still be easily loaded and operated. The Pro uses the Victor iCNC Performance control and the Victor iHC integrated height control and lifter. The lifter has a crash detector that immediately pauses the program in the event of a torch crash. To restart, you simply press the Torch button. The iCNC runs Victors software which includes a comprehensive shape library. The control has a mix of on-screen and hard buttons that make operation very easy, even for a beginner. The iCNC is also high definition capable. High definition plasma units use high frequency arc start which does not work well around PC's.
