Antique Austrian Figural Decanter German Shepherd Dog – Crystal & Brass - $775 - (Naples, FL)

An unusual figural liquor or Claret decanter in the form of an Alsatian or German Shepherd Dog with a very expressive face. The hand blown glass body of the dog has a lot of detail. The head is brass with traces of the old silver plate and glass eyes. The head is hinged and flips open to pour out the liquid. Marked in the back of the head, Made in Austria. Measures approximately, 4 ¾” x 3” x 10” tall. Very good condition. No chips or nicks to the glass body. The brass head could be polished. Austria, Circa 1900.
