This is a 1-8Cups (1.5L) Soap Kettle with complete instructions. The box is dated (C in a circle) 2004 Life of the Party, North Brunswick, NJ, and was made in China. The box states that this kettle is "The Pro Quality Glycerine Soap Melting Solution." Box also states: "Great for soap crafting pro's & hobbyists too!" "Melts up to five pounds of soap and keeps it warm for hours" "Easy to use and clean" "Great for parties, groups and family activities" Takes about 15 to 20 minutes to melt up to 5lbs. I bought this new and used this item twice and personally did not like it. But overall this kettle works great
