Mystery 60s Japanese Guitar - $249 - (Highland Lakes, NJ)

Mystery 60's Japanese electric solidbody. This very guitar is featured in Frank Meyers' book, "History Of Japanese Electric Guitars" on page 151, as follows: "This group (of photos) represents some of the strangest guitars to come out of Japan. These guitars probably came from the Nagano area, because they share some of the early Teisco Gen Gakki build styles." Frank is perhaps the world leading authority on vintage Japanese electrics, and this guitar was a mystery to him. It's a light weight guitar, two single coil pickups, relatively thin neck and body. The pickguard may have been painted white. Numerous scratches and dings, but no other structural issues. All electronics work as they should. Very little fret wear. A previous owner scratched "Fender" into the headstock, but it's almost invisible. The tuning pegs work. I used it briefly as a slide guitar and it worked very well in that role. Priced at a very reasonable $249 or best offer. No case or bag. Please ask all questions first. $40 flat rate shipping in ConUSA via least expensive carrier. Canadian shipping TBD, as well as international shipping. I will not be responsible for customs fees. Sold as is, no returns. Guitar described accurately and fairly. Buy with confidence; 100% positive Ebay rating.
