Young paint standardbred with lots of potential - $1,500 - (Austin, TX)

Magic is a six to 7yearold standardbredquarter cross with a gorgeous rockingchair lope and the makings of a fast but smooth gait. Hes personable and affectionate the 1st horse to meet you at the gate and he obviously wants to bond with an owner. Since hes a rescue horse were not certain about his training but he neck reins trots lopes and canters under saddle very easily and hes responsive in the round pen. He also gaits if hes collected. Hes good on trails steady with littletono spook but also eager and forwardgoing. Since Im interested foremost in finding a good long-term home for him I want to be completely honest about his drawbacks hes sometimes very nervous on the ground. Hes ear sensitive so bridling him is difficult. At times hes also been sensitive about being mounted backing away from the mounting block and even bucking twice. Weve found that you just have to work through that and get on him then hes nice. He can also be herdbound. If you start out alone on him hes fine.
