Antique Handmade Victorian / Edwardian Ladies Black & Brown Velvet Cloak. Beautiful handmade antique ladies cloak / hooded cape. Either Victorian or Edwardian. Made of warm soft velvet, this beautiful cloak was once all black but has faded over time to brown. You can still see some black on the back of the cloak where the hood laid over it, on the inside folds of the hood, the back of the hood, and on the inside hem. It is lined in an ivory material. I do not know what type of material the lining is. The cloak has some spots of wear to the fabric in places, but I could not find any holes or evidence of dry rotting. The stitching holding the button on is loose as well as the stitching where the hood has been folded and sewn down near the neck. There are a few small stains to the inside lining. Measures approximately 53" from shoulder to hem.
