585-gram (1.29 pounds) large, fist-sized chunk of gem chrysocolla out of Baghdad, Arizona. This was collected in 1953 and has been cut loose from a significant American mineral collection for the first time in over 60 years. PICTURED BOTH WET AND DRY This is the second big specimen I have had the good fortune to come across in recent years from a famous, old and long off-limits Arizona location and I believe it is the nicer of the the two, for what that's worth.
