Women's VINTAGE Shoes 1980s HOCUS POKUS 911 World Trade Statue of Liberty 8.5M - $799 - (Santa Barbara, CA)
Previously owned - showing very slight wear. Amazing WONDERFUL Condition, especially given the age. There are few minor scuffs. They were purchased for the 1986 Statue of Liberty Weekend, Thursday, July 3 and ended on Sunday, July 6, 1986. They belonged to my girlfriend. There is minor wear. I have lots of nice things to choose from. My girlfriend worked for me in the 1980s. She was planning her trip to NYC for the 100th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty. She had great plans which included going to the Statue and visiting the Twin Towers and was extremely excited about going. I had made a visit to I. Magnin, which was in the same block as my store. I could not believe my eyes ... I raced back to the shop and told Lee to go immediately to I.Magnin, where I had put something on hold for her. She didn't want to leave the store, nor did she want to spend any money, but I insisted. She could not have been gone more than ten minutes...she came bouncing back into the shop wearing her new high heels. She obviously agreed that these were the perfect shoes for her trip. She was grinning from ear to ear. Such a memorable day. She took good care of them, as you can see. A couple of years later, she gifted them to me. This was all before 911. When she gave them to me, I took a picture of them, had it framed and she hung it on the wall in her bedroom. The shoes were not my size and they were never worn again.
