Exploding Pendant Class - N.A. - (Charlottesville, VA)

Learn cold forming techniques to shape copper or aluminum sheet metal without soldering. In this class, you will transfer a pattern to sheet metal, use a jeweler’s saw, cut an interior shape, file, texture, stamp, rivet, anneal, pickle and apply a patina. Once you have fabricated your components, you will learn to shape metal around a cabochon and trap it between layered metal sheets to create this unique pendant. Level: All. Students must be at least eighteen years old and are required to wear eye protection. Advance registration required.
