EXQUISITE 1920s ART DECO MANNEQUIN HEAD HATS JEWELLERY SCARVES MILLENARY DISPLAY - $995 - (Grimsby, ON)

This is an outstanding and very unique lady that has survived in excellent vintage condition for approximately 97 years despite the fragile material “Papier Maché” used in the 1920's to provide a less expensive way to display hats and accessories than the more expensive wax models. The features and the way she was painted are just exquisite, in true 1920's Art Deco style. Excellent vintage condition, her face, hair neck and most of her torso are in amazing condition. The structure is totally solid. She just shows some wear around the perimeter of the bottom edge of her torso, some superficial crackling lines of the finish also around the bottom of the torso, nothing that interferes with the display and value of such a fantastic historical item. Other than that she has a few scuff marks here and there, all of which can be appreciated on the photos... just one craze line on the lower side of her right cheek (last photo) that is not noticeable unless looking for it closely and some paint chipped and crackles on the bottom that don’t show at all on display as it can’t be seen unless turned upside down (photo also included)..All an all she is in excellent condition for her age and materials. Measures 16" in height and 13" from shoulder to shoulder. She comes with her original stand which is included in the listing.
