Antique North India 17- 18th Century Sword Kora Chopper - $600 - (Lewiston, ME)
This early Kora sword has a beautiful, incurved blade. This type of sword is often associated with Nepal but was used throughout India. This sword is 28” (71cm) in total length with a thick-robust, 54.50cm, sharp blade. There is a small amount of engraving on the back of the blade and a brass inlay near the tip of the blade. The handle at the pommel ends with a stacked disk- like design. It is excellent condition for its age. Some of the brass inlay is missing from the blade and one half of one of the decorative pommel disks is broken off, a very tiny flaw.
