Her sire Montbretia is a winning son of Meadowlake and is out of a stakes placed full sister to champion sprinter Cherokee Run. Kates dam Raspberry Beret was a winner at the track is out of a stakes placed winner at two and is half to a stakes winner at 2. Raspberry Beret also has a full sister who competed successfully at preliminary level in eventing and was only prevented from going further by injury. Kate stands a very correct 16.2 hands with three stunning gaits. Kate was started under saddle by someone who leased her from me as an event prospect. Unfortunately they were very heavy handed and employed force instead of lightness and patience so Kate came back to me very defensive and resentful. Her family tends toward the hotter side and responds best to a light hand and time rather than hurryscurry and force.
