I was strolling down the charming streets of Paris at the end of a fairy tale day full of sweet pastries and flea market treasures. Weary, but pleased with my vintage finds, the Eiffle tower in the distance beckoning me home, I noticed a beautiful scent in the air, like old fashioned David Austin roses. With vintage french chandeliers, quilts and even a wicker baby basket in tow I headed towards the dreamy scent. As I drew closer I discovered a beautifully ornate iron gate. Strange, I thought as I peeked over the top, I have never noticed this before. Was I dreaming? Right before my eyes was a secret rose garden. The intoxicating scent of hundreds of lush blooms drew me inside. I found a bench under a blossom covered arbor and sat down to rest, the song " I Love Paris" playing in my head. I must have dozed off but woke suddenly to the sound of soft cooing. In delight, I watched sparkly star dust misting the roses nearby. As it touched the petals the cooing became soft baby laughter. I walked over and to my amazement...there was a perfect little baby...just blooming right out of a beautiful rose. With the sweet scent around us, I quickly wrapped her in the vintage quilt and snuggled her into the basket. Soft baby sounds accompanied me the short distance home, and my steps were quickened by thoughts of unwrapping my rosey baby bundle as soon as possible. What a delight she was, a little over 11 lbs and so cuddly to hold...I gave her a bath....dried her soft silky hair...Her ten little fingers and toes where freshly clipped and then I dressed her in the prettiest dress I could find . I think you will agree that she is perfectly blushed in all the right baby places, this delightful little rose baby. She is looking for a special new home where she can bloom forever, and bring joy and delight to a new mommy. I have taken lots of photos and I hope that you can see what a precious discovery she is.
