1902 LULU GLASER "DOLLY VARDEN" STANISLAUS STANGE & JULIAN EDWARDS, F.C. WHITNEY - $99 - (Eureka Springs, AR)

Souvenir program for LULU GLASER in DOLLY VARDEN, the operetta by Stanislaus Stange and Julian Edwards, produced on Broadway (and practically everywhere else, for years) by F.C. Whitney (also known for his Whitney Opera Company). With Tom Daniel, Harry Loft, Ila Niles, Albert Parr, Mrk Smith, Percy Stephens, Ada Palmer Walker, Estelle Wentworth, and Van Rensselaer Wheeler. Music by Edwards and libretto by Stange, based on "Barnaby Rudge" by Charles Dickens. Choreographed by Cervallo and directed by Al Holbrook. This first production opened at New York's Herald Square Theatre, later transferred to the Grand Opera House, and had a run of 163 performances in 1902-1903. The souvenir program is beautiful, but it has seen better days. There is exterior damage: Skinned spots on the front cover; edge wear on both front and back covers; bent and creased exterior corners. Inside are fourteen lithographed plates of photos of the production, as well as a facsimile signature of Miss Glaser at the front of the book. There is fairly minimal interior wear, most of it being on the tissue separator pages between the glossy lithographs. The book is bound with a slim blue cord. It measures 8.25 x 10.75 inches.
