Rain, footprints, spore (cases or seed traces) El Pueblo early Permian, NM, USA. - $36 - (Ribera, NM)

These are thin slabs, 3/16 to a 1/4 inch but hard and stable. The spore reference is ambiguous as to seeds (visible to the naked eye) or the tiny traces are of spore cases instead. The tiny objects were apparently floating on shore water by natural design and were somewhat decay resistant. In light of other "seeds" in the El Pueblo facies their identification trends more and more toward fern sporangia.
