Klipsch Promedia 5.1 THX Upgraded Amplifier You are bidding here on an upgraded Klipsch 5.1 THX amplifier. This amplifier (5.1 THX) is basically the same like the "5.1 ULTRA" but has not the "Daisy Chain" functionality (RCA output). This particular unit sports 15 new and upgraded parts including Audio Capacitors and comes with a 1 YEAR WARRANTY.******Critical parts that used to overheat the PDC board on the power supply have been relocated to avoid further heat damage to it.Additionally is an Arctic Cooling fan installed to keep the internal power-supply cool.The fan is powered by an additional board embedded into the original Klipsch PSU, so it does not affect or drain any current from the internal power supply(PSU), or interferes with its functionality in any way. Even better... it cools itself since it is located directly under the fan.For the installation of the cooling fins on the IO-board and the fan upgrade I use only industrial grade high strength/high temperature silicone adhesive with excellent adhesion properties and temperature resistance!I also replace the inferior factory glue on the top IO-board holding the 3 little cooling fins with this silicon adhesive.If you send me your old, defective BUT UNALTERED unit back I will issue you a $49 refund via PayPal!Units that have been repaired previously by either Klipsch, Stpeteshepherd or me are considered as "unaltered"So far I repaired over 600 ProMedia 5.1 units since 2014.
