1970 era Ibanez Artist Banjo with Case, Gibson Banjo Look Alike - $700 - (Cabot, AR)

I will try to describe this banjo to the best of my knowledge. Ibanez Artist built in either 1977 or 1978. This banjo does not show up in the 78 Ibanez catalog but does in the 1977 so that’s as close as I can come to dating it. I believe this model was only made a couple of years before Ibanez changed to a different design. I believe everything is original with the exception of the head and two of the tuners. Two of the tuners have been replaced with Schalar D-tuners. The case is original I do not see any scratches or dings on the banjo anywhere. In the picture of the resonator it appears to be a scratch but I believe that’s from the camera and lighting (I’m not a good photographer) Whoever actually was building these banjo for Ibanez did an excellent Job. I’m not saying that because I’m trying to sell it, but simply for the fact that it’s true. The fit and finish are flawless in my opinion. The eagle on the resonator is an actual inlay not a sticker I’ve been playing this banjo for about a year. The frets are in good condition with some wear , the neck is straight and it has a good set-up. Really nice playing banjo and has a great sound. I have described the banjo and included pictures to the best of my knowledge and I believe have priced it at a fair price. I’m not any kind of expert but in my opinion this is a very good banjo.
