This auction is for TWO 16mm cartoons and comes with original Blackhawk Films Carboard Cases.Both movies on their own reel. No Vinegar Smell or warping. (1) Mass Mouse Meeting (6min19) "Mass Mouse Meeting" (1943), one of the most notorious of Columbia's Screen Gems cartoons, is this retelling of the old story of a mouse placing a bell around the neck of a cat so that he and his fellow mice can know when the feline is coming. In this one, the rodent chosen for this chore spends roughly three and-a-half minutes talking to the curious cat about his new collar. This black-and-white "Phantasy" cartoon, with story by Dun Roman, animation by Chic Otterstrom, and music by Paul Worth, was produced by Dave Fleischer and directed by Alec Geiss (2) Private Snafu : Target Snafu (4min31) Target Snafu is an animated short film directed by Friz Frelengand first released 23 October 1944. It is part of the Private Snafu series. As in all the Snafu films, the voice of Private Snafu is performed by Mel Blanc.[2]Private Snafu fails to protect himself adequately against the onslaught of an armada of malaria-laden mosquitoes.
