Here's a 16MM SYNDICATION PRINT of the British television series "THE ADVENTURES OF THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL" starring MARIUS GORING. This episode first aired on FEBRUARY 24, 1956 and is the very first episode of the series, which ran for 18 episodes. It is titled "THE HOSTAGE", and introduces the principal characters. The Scarlet Pimpernel rescues a Baroness from the clutches of his arch-rival Chauvelin, but she is reluctant to escape because her young son is still detained. The Pimpernel must rescue him without revealing his true identity. This is a 16mm syndication print, complete with "insert commercial here" frames. Good image clarity and sound.
