The Masked Marine (5/16/1963) Hosted and narrated by Fred Astaire, this hour long episode tells the true story of a gruff by the book Sergeant played by (Harry Guardino) who is tired of a Private not looking likle he is taking basic training seriously enough. He constantly has an up-beat attitude and smile on his face. The Sergent, cuts a make shift Mask out of a Camouflage t-shirt and makes the Private wear it for 10 grueling days. It works too well. The Private is now a one man killing machine. He performs so well on the Battlefield that he is quickly promoted. This leads to the Japenese making him a special target which leads to an unexpected action filled climax. Look for a very young James Cann as one of the troop members who befriends the Masked Marine.
