Great vintage one of a kind Native American Cherokee tribal necklace was hand crafted to represent the infamous Trail of Tears. In a tear drop shape to give homage to that sad time in our history, yet with a peace sign design to show our undying pledge to peace. This is hand cut and imperfect, which adds to the beauty. Unsigned, I was told that this is an extremely RARE TYPE OF NATIVE JEWELRY, in that the artist chose chrysocolla over turquoise, because turquoise protects. By the time this was made, our protection was long gone and most of us already "removed" and "re-located". The artist chose chrysocolla because it is an expressive and teaching stone. Full of inky blue specks on a gorgeous green, with a few goldish specks, lightly polished, very tight and sturdy setting. 18" chain, 2" pendant, 2 1/4" if you count the round bale. Tubular and round beads also of 900 or better silver - right there at possibly being sterling, it has always shined up well like sterling.
