1907 Waltham 18 Size, 15 Jewels, Huge & Heavy Nickel Case, Recently Restored! - $175 - (Prospect, CT)

1907 American Waltham Watch Company 18 size, fifteen jewels stem wind & set extra large & heavy pocket watch in excellent looking and running condition. The movement was professionally serviced recently, runs strong & keeps good time. The serial number on the Model 1883, Grade 820 movement is 15318066 which dates it to 1907. The full plate movement has 15 jewels, a patent micro-metric regulator & patent safety pinion, intricate damaskeening pattern on the back plates and nice engraving on the balance arm. The original porcelain enameled dial is in extra fine condition, no hairlines. The matching blued steel hands are in fine condition. The new old stock antique thick beveled glass crystal is in fine condition with one small edge flake. The Alaska Metal heavy (8 ounces) nickel case is in excellent condition with light pocket wear for its age; no dents, and no monograms. The approximate case measurements are 2-1/2 inches in diameter (not including the bow & crown) x 7/8 inch thick including the crystal. The heavy nickel bow and the crown are in excellent condition with light wear. Included with your watch is a custom made 19 inch long heavy silver plated chain. This is a nice big original antique timepiece that is well preserved. Great for everyday use, or would make a fine gift! Also perfect for Re-enactors. My pictures have many shadows, reflections and dust spots that will be cleaned; the watch looks fine in person!
