Antique Mosses of North America by Lesquereux and James 1895 HC Collectible - $69 - (Newberry, MI)

This is an antique copy of the Manual of the Mosses of North America by Leo Lesquereux and Thomas P. James. It includes six thickstock illustration plates at the back of the book. This edition is dated 1895. From a smoke-free home, it smells great. It has a brown cloth hardcover and no dust jacket. The corners are square. The spine is square and tight. Inside, there is minimal tanning. The former owner's name is stamped discreetly on the front free endpaper. There is a small bit of damage on the edge of that endpaper as well, as seen in photos, and the endpaper is cracking at the spine inside the front cover. On the final page of the illustration plates, there is a small amount of foxing on the back of the page. Overall, it's in such excellent condition that it looks new.
