Antique Wax Doll Lace Dress French German Glass Eyes Human Hair Wig 17 IN 1890s - $600 - (South Bend, IN)

This is an antique French poured wax doll. The head is solid wax, the arms appear to be wax over papier mache, the legs are composition, I think. The body is cloth. She dates to the 1890s and has German glass eyes and a human hair wig in auburn, styled in a nice updo. The dress is beige lace over satin. The stain underskirt is a little shredded with many linear tears along the weave of the fabric. There are lines in the wax on her cheeks that are faint cracks. She is 17" tall. MBR.
