William Lewis has been importing great strings from Europe for many years and the Herrmann is a “better” student model, their third step up, and hand made in Germany. It features a solid german spruce top with maple sides and back, and ebony appointments. Our is used but in very good condition. It has never been abused or repaired. There are no cracks or separations and the neck is well set and not warped. It shows only light wear and this is still a very attractive violin. It is well set up with a good bridge and set soundpost. The stringshold tune but you will want to replace them with your favorites. This is a quality violin, superior to the vast majority of “student” instruments we see today that will impress your teacher. This auction includes a Glasser bow in excellent condition (only a couple hours use) and a very nice molded hard case to keep it warm and happy :-).
