This sale is for a drum sander that can sand up to 37 x 6" thick. The main motor requires 220 v. single phase current. This is a dual drum sander, which can allow for a coarser grit sanding material to be mounted ahead of a finer grit. Typically, both drums are used with the same grit, and this allows for faster sanding. The drums are hard rubber, and not metal which helps to reduce vibrations. The belt conveyor was replaced recently and grips very well. The type of sanding material used by this machine can be purchased in rolls from many industrial abrasive suppliers. This machine can be used by cabinet shops to sand raised panel doors, as well as face frame parts. This machine has the width to sand table tops, cutting boards etc. Even small parts can be sanded by using padded sanding trays which can be used to hold the parts. A set of these will be provided to the buyer of the machine. The machine is equipped with a D.C. precision controlled conveyor motor, which can maintain a wide range of feed rates. The machine was made in the USA and has some advantages over a wide belt sanding in many cases. A machinist's ruler was added to the machine, and can be seen in one of the above photos which shows a plexiglass cover near the feed rate control.
