Rare DU CHATEAU Siedle Salomon & Son Mantel Clock - Merc Filled Pendulum - WORKS - $725 - (Goshen, IN)
This listing is for a rare Du Chateau Crystal Regulator clock with a Siedle Salomon & Son 8 day clock movement. It features a porcelain dial and a merc-ury filled pendulum. The clock movement is marked on the back with the following, "Fabrik SSS Marke Prazision - Graham - 8Tage". It comes with the original key. The body of the clock is brass with heavy beveled glass. It is quite heavy, so please see shipping estimate before bidding or buying. Note: No international shipping on this item. Will only ship ground via FedEx due to the contents in the pendulum. This item has been relisted, as the previous buyer was outside the United States and the item could not be shipped. The clock is in a fully running condition. I've tested it for over a day and it kept time (it may need fine tuning if run over several days or more). The two bell chime is a pleasant two tone that chimes on half and hour marks. I'm not sure this really is a crystal regulator type clock, but did find some references to these clocks as such. Please research this item to be absolutely sure what this clock model and type are. Please see the following video to show the clock working and chiming at half hour. It chimes the same way at full hour increments with the number of chimes indicating hours.
