101 Ranch Cast Iron Steer Hitching Post Topper Free Shipping to Lower 48 - $300 - (Bartlesville, OK)
While no one is 100% positive about the authenticity of any item I will give you the background I know here. This was my grandpa's. He attended Chilocco Indian School north of Ponca City Oklahoma and was among the first students there even though he was not much older than a toddler. When he aged some he worked part time on various ranches in the area shoveling bovine scattory from loading chutes, trying his hand at rodeo and finally when "freed" moved to Kansas. I inherited this in 1963 after he passed. I am now 71, have no one to leave things to and am selling out. It is my understanding this is one of many ornamental hitching post toppers scattered around the 101. It is 8 1/2" tall x 7 3/4" tip of horn to tip of horn. Weight is 6 pounds.
