Very interesting 1910 VINTAGE E. D. (Eugene Dietzgen) COMPANY Chicago & New York SIGHT LEVEL TRANSIT SURVEY SCOPE. Model 4397. Brass metal construction. Lens clear. Their is a bubble visible in the level. You will receive everything pictured with the Transit (Wood Box/Case 13" X 8" X 5", Plum Bob, and accessories) The case appears to have been made of Cedar. I have had this for some time. Stored in temperature controlled environment. Looks solid. Biggest blemish noted is the leather straps for the case are missing and the case has a water or oil stain.
