Antique 1901 King Edward VII Queen Alexandra Horseback TH Sandland Ware Statues - $300 - (Durham, NC)
You are bidding on a vintage set of T.H. Sandland Ware Statues of King Edward VII & Queen Alexandra on horseback. The statues are white with colorful clothing on each rider. Each statue is labeled with raised lettering outlined in gold color, on the front at the bottom "King Edward VII" or "Queen Alexandra." The backside of each statue says "Copyright Dec 10th 1901 T.H. Sandland." There is some color wear to the gold trim on each horse & the hat on Edward looks as if a previous owner has added the black stripes. The gold "VII" on the front of Edward has worn as well as the decoration that was in front of the horse's leg may be partially missing, but I cannot be 100% sure as I cannot find anything like these statues to compare them to. Edward's statue has crazing, but does not have any major chips. There seems to be a 4" hairline crack across Edward's name at the bottom though. The Alexandra statue seems to be in a little better condition, free from any major defects & chips. there is some crazing however. Each statue weighs approx 3lbs 3 oz & stand approx 13" tall x 9" wide. Package weighs approx 8 Lbs & will be shipped Priority Mail. Buyer to pay actual shipping cost PLUS $5.00 handling fee.
