This item is an adaptation of the kubotan, a discrete, tactical self-defense baton for men and women that measures 5 ½" long rod originally used in martial arts. It is intended to deter or incapacitate an assailant. It can be used for hammerfist strikes, hardened fist punches, pressure point attacks, or flailing strikes. Many options are available to personalize this product. We offer two grip styles (see second picture), in either stainless steel or aluminum, with multiple finishes available. This particular listing is for our special-edition, blued-gray anodized 6061-T6 aluminum version and features our dimple-grip. Our other special-edition model (available on a separate listing) transitions from solid blue on the keychain end, to green on the grip, and ends with a bright yellow on the tactical end. The third picture is provided as a comparison of the dimple- vs grenade/channel-style grips. The fourth picture provides a close-up of the tactical end. All of our kubotans are CNC machined using a horizontal turning center, have a contoured grip, and measure 5 1/2" long, regardless of options/style. Each of our kubotans also come with an adjustable paracord wrist lanyard, which is used to maintain positive control of the baton (see fifth and sixth pictures). The lanyards can be custom ordered on our Etsy site. The lanyards have an overall length of 9 1/2" including the 3/4" diameter key ring. The woven section is 3" long. The loop is made to slide over your hand and wrist, with a knot that slides to maintain retention. If a specific color lanyard is wanted, please contact us.
