Handmade Nantucket Basket with stationary handle. It is one that I made. These are common on Nantucket Island where they were first made many years ago. Width; 7.75 inches. Base width 5.5 inches Basket height (not including handle); 3 inches. Height with handle; 8.25 inches. Handle; White Oak. Base is Cherry. Makers stamped mark is on base. Basket made of reed and cane.
