The iron turned pedestal/post is supported by a circular base with four factory pre-drilled screw holes for anchoring this stool into the floor, so it stays secure during all motion & vertical movement. The rotating spinning quarter sawn tiger oak seat has a 12" diameter & is supported along the underside by a three-prong cast iron bracket attached to a central rod/post. This stool is in fantastic condition & the seat appears to have been professionally refinished by its previous owner, but the iron base still retains some of its old original black paint. The elevator operator stool stands approx. 25 1/2" tall & the seat just spins in place ~ it does not adjust to a different height like the other one that we had listed. We had two nearly identical stools available but the other one just recently sold. Picture #8 shows both of them side by side. If you live fairly close to us, you can pick it up at your convenience ~ or it could be shipped ~ as its dimensions would be under the 150 dimensional weight allowed by most companies.
