Vintage Sheet Music. 1919 "Play Me A Dixie Melody", pub by McKinley Music Co - $7 - (Rockford, IL)

This 1919 old classic was and still is a favorite. Written by Harold Frost, with music by Fred Rose, this is one of those tunes that sticks with you. The music is playable, albeit brittle due to age, but the cover is one of those wonderful old graphics that could be matted and framed for posterity. It measures 12" x 9" and has some issues along the edges with tears. and the inside has some age-yellowing. The cover shows a great painting of a southern bell being courted.
