Old Vintage French Violin Laberte-Humbert Firm - $3,500 - (San Rafael, CA)

Maker: Laberte Humbert workshop, Provenance: Mirecourt France, Length of back: 358mm, Year: c. 1920. This violin has been completely restored and set up in our workshop. There are a few old repairs to note: A cheek patch on the A Peg on both the treble and bass sides, this repair is very well done and completely stable. The violin also has two very minor repaired wing cracks, and the usual amount of dings and scratches for a violin of this age. The violin has a warm and singing tone with a big g string sound.
