Converted H.N. White/King Full Double French Horn - $1,800 - (Kennett Square, PA)

This is a fabulous converted yellow brass King double horn. The original H.N.White/King horns from this era are great horns to begin with. This horn has the added benefits of a replaced leadpipe and a Conn bell tail and flare. The leadpipe and bell and tail are unlacquered which improves the tone and resonance of the horn. The remainder of the Horn has original lacquer which shows varying degrees of wear. Additionally, finger buttons have been added to the valve levers and a water key added to the leadpipe. This is a great sounding horn. Big sound similar to the style of the Hollywood studio horns. It comes with a virtually new Protec Deluxe Pro Pac detachable bell case which fits the horn perfectly. The horn has the expected small dings and pings and lacquer wear to be expected in a horn this age. Recently cleaned, greased, and oiled. All slides and valves operate smoothly.
