Telefunken 12AX7 Long Smooth Grey Plate Tube w White Tip A Specially Selected 100% Balanced Tube from 1965 Beautiful Telefunken 12AX7 Tube with Boonton test equipment QA/QC sticker and white painted tip. indicating that this tube passed additional testing. This tube was screened for critical applications for balance, low noise, and vibrational stability (same as microphonics in an audio application). This is the top of the line, a specially selected Telefunken 12AX7.with the diamond on the bottom. Yes, another jewel that has survived the passage of time!!! Tube was tested on a Hickok 752A Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. Test results: Gm Triode 1 1560 umhosTriode 2 1560 umhos No shorts, no gas, and 980/1000 on the life test. Life test, tester is set at 1000, then the heater voltage is reduced 10%. Any result above 750 is good. 900 or better is NOS, I have never had a tube >1000. A perfectly balanced tube.testing as New Old Stock. Minimum acceptable is 800 umhos NOS is 1250 umhos Label is 90+% complete, however the Boonton test label obscures part of the label.
