Majestic "red ball' model 149, Charlie McCarthy style extremely rare, perfect ! - $625 - (Simpsonville, SC)
This is one extremely rare radio. It is a Majestic 149, yet if you look up this number you won't find it. It has a brass 1/2 ball on the front with the Majestic brand on it. The cabinet is perfect. Has a few small chips in the red paint on the ball. The chassis is clean and currently plays. It is not being sold for its ability to play. The electronics are old and is being sold as a rare collectible radio. The tag on the back says model 149, just as a Charlie McCarthy say model 1. It has never been drilled for a Charlie figure. The 2 dimples that stick out on the front line up with where a Charlie would go. There are no holes where the badge would go for a Charlie. As I have never come across any info. on this it is unknown to me if many or any exist. So if you want rare, and you want perfct, this is it. I doubt you will ever find another, especially in this condition. Sold USA only.
