Oltar-Jevsky and Harvey Wiley Corbett, is a scarce and amazing find from the estate of William H. MacMurray, a principal, along with Corbett, of the architectural firm Corbett, Harrison & MacMurray, widely renowned for their iconic Art Deco design of the Rockefeller Center Complex in New York City. Earlier in his career, Oltar-Jevsky was an employee of MacMurray and the inscription reads as follows: "To dear old boss Mr. William MacMurray with complements of W.K. Oltar Jevsky 11.24.33."Provenance: William H. MacMurray III. The book comprises 22 mounted pencil drawings by Oltar-Jevsky of New York City's many architectural masterpieces, such as the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, Rockefeller Center and more.Folio 14 3/4" x 9 3/4". Illustrated with 22 mounted plates. Bound in black striated silk cloth.Condition: This book has spent several generations in boxed storage and has a slightly damp odor but is in overall good condition. Cover is in very good condition. Spine is tight and intact. There is some age discoloration to the pages and some waviness to the plates - see pix #6, which are otherwise sharp and in overall good condition.
