Offered for Sale, RARE WWI ALBATROS ENGINEERING DESIGN GRAPHICS. These Engineering Schematics could be adapted to construct a model aircraft, but also include information and design details which could enable you to build your very own Albatros! This extraordinary set of Engineering Designs, printed on vellum, are in very good shape with no folds, creases, wrinkles, and no rips or tears. Unfortunately, the paper has begun to yellow around the edges. Some pages show this effect more than others (see photos). There are eight pages of Engineering Designs, illustrating the structural details of the famous Albatros family of World War I fighter biplanes. These schematics also document design changes that were incorporated into the improvements as the models advanced from Albatros D.I to Albatros D.VI. The pages are 48.3 cm wide (19") x 32.9 cm high (13") and are drawn at 1/4" = 1' scale. This page size is too large for my scanner, and so each of the Listing photos was constructed from 4 separate scans stitched together, in order to show you each page entire.
