Here is a beautifully restored Gamewell "ENG. CO. NO. 2" FIRE ALARM CALL BOX TELEPHONE from Hello Central Antique Telephone Company. The telephone box is an original re purposed fire alarm inner mechanism box made of cast aluminum. This is not a replica gamewell box. Attached to the front door of the fire telephone box is a beautiful "professionally reproduced cast metal" 1880's Antique Fire Apparatus "ENG. CO. NO. 2" Identification Plate. The Fire Alarm Call Box and Telephone have a powder coated (baked on enamel) finish with professional hand painted lettering. Attached along side of the Fire Alarm Call Box is a 1930-40's Western Electric Model 211 Telephone that has been converted for use on today's telephone system. The telephone handset is the older F-1 style made of bakelite. As expected the original bakelite handset may have "slight" signs of age, wear or use. The handset has been cleaned and polished. The modern day telephone components are located inside of the Fire Alarm Box. A "VOIP" Voice Over Internet Protocol Telephone System such as available through Vonage or other Internet Carrier will require a converter not provided in this auction. The Gamewell Fire Alarm Call Box Telephone will work fine with regular telephone service. The Fire Alarm Call Box Telephone has a one year limited warranty from Hello Central Antique Telephone Company and has been professionally restored.
