Bambara Style Wooden Mask - $25 - (Mount Shasta, CA)

This Bambara style mask was donated to our thrift store to help the animals. We have no provenance on this mask. Our research shows this to be similar to Bambara masks made in Mali. A friend of ours, who collects African art, says this looks like a made-for-ceremony rather than made-for-sale item. He was actually very excited about it. He said the metal embellishments were not of the norm. This mask is about 14 inches tall and 6 inches wide at the widest point. Two long tabs swing from side to side on this mask. There is a metal hanging wire that could be removed. Payment with Paypal only. No returns or refunds on this pre-owned wood Bambara-style mask.
