Original Vintage Black Americana Sambo Chromolithographs 4-Set Series - $600 - (Grovetown, GA)

These chromolithographs are an original set of comic series illustrating African-American life in late Victorian American, circa 1916. The four chromolithographs feature "Sambo's Courtship" "Sambo's Wedding" "Sambo's First Born" "Sambo's Baby's Christening" The colors remain vivid and the title of each chromolithograph is clear. They are in their original frames with expected period wear. The frame of Sambo's Courtship measures 14" x 18" and having a tiny gold decoration around its edges, is not a perfect match with the other 3 frames but appears completely original. The other 3 frames measure 14 3/8" x 17 3/8" These have been in my Grandmothers private collection since 1988.
