Antique Southern Primitine Dough Table with Fitted Scrub Top and Red Wash. - $450 - (Aylett, VA)

This is one of those items you don't see very often - a Southern dough table. The base has the remnants of a red wash or stain and the top has an old scrubbed surface. The wood appears to be tulip poplar, There is one small surface repair on the top that does not go through (see photos). Just as it came out of the estate. Found in Western North Carolina, I think it has a NC or Southwest Virginia origin. It is 44" x 25" x 28" high. This one is a pick up only listing. I can help with with any shipping you arrange. Boxing it up is possible - but it is heavy - FedX or Greyhound might work. I can also work out a delivery within the normal range of my travels - I travel extensively in Virginia & North Carolina and occasionally up and down the east coast - best to ask first before bidding.
