On the 1st page of this book it is stamped EX LIBRIS – ALEX.RUSS. The size is approx. 9-1/2” x 12-1/2”& has 94 glorious pages of the early years of his work. The author discusses the sources of Wright’s idea, concentrating on the formative years during which he developed his theory of architecture as an organic creative process creating such achievements as Falling Water. In 1887 at the age of 18, he went to work as a draughtsman in the Chicago offices of Adler and Sullivan, the outstanding architectural rebels of the day. The extent to Wright’s achievements is illustrated in this book by 37 black and white subjects and 40 pages of color. It would be a great addition to your FLW collection.
