Item - Antique Old West Faro Game Table - gambling hall, saloon, bar... This is an antique Faro game table, with the necessary cutout for a banker. Faro predates poker in popularity, as it was played in almost every American gambling hall from 1825 to 1915. In the 1880's Faro was the most popular gambling game played in America. One person was the banker, thus the drawer for chips and table cutout. Chips, called checks, ranging in value from $0.50 to $10, were purchased from the banker.* 33" long banker's drawer* dimensions - 30 3/4" H x 55" dia. x 2" thick table top...it is heavy, but 2 people can lift it* construction- solid wood legs are 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" and are attached with slot-head screws to the top frame...wood table top is covered in a modern poly felt for durability and ease of cleaning...cloth was attached with copper brads...* finish - pretty rustic finish on legs, sides and drawer...some obvious wear which adds to the overall appearance...chairs have rubbed against these legs and table sides, wearing the original finish to what you see today...* drawer appears to have some modifications underneath to the drawer supports, as they don't match the age of the table...NOTE: We cannot prepare the table for shipping. poker, faro, card games, gambling halls, saloons, mining camps/towns, western, old west, Sun Valley, McCall, Coeur d' AleneThanks!
