Antique Josiah Anstice & Co Columbia Dictionary Bible Stand Oak & Iron Pat 1895 Absolutely gorgeous antique "The Columbia" Dictionary Stand with oak planks book holder on adjustable iron base manufactured by Josiah Anstice Co., Inc., Rochester, NY, USA, circa 1895. Wonderful patina on all original surfaces! Beautiful gold and black label. Stand is heavy, strong and sturdy. Sensational form with folding oak book holder on ornate and substantial iron arms on center pole over an exquisite medial shelf/book rest, raised on four superb cabriole legs ending in scroll feet with brass casters. Elegant, engraved designs on legs. Stands is height and width (at the book holder) adjustable. Marked "PAT. DEC. 10, 85". Magnificent antique The Columbia Dictionary Stand provides both stunning beauty and utility!!!Dimensions: Stand adjusts from about 31" to 44" height. Oak book holder surface measures 13-1/4" high by 22" wide (width of each side is adjustable about 1" in each direction). Base is 16" square at the feet.
