Nice Vintage, Alvarez Model 5001 Rosewood Classical Guitar with a Solid Spruce Top and Rosewood Back & Sides. The Rosette is Hand laid. The headstock is dressed with a beautiful rosewood overlay. This is referred to as a concert model. Handmade in Japan, this Alvarez Classical Guitar has a nice Rosewood Body. Nicely Defined Rosewood Body with noticeable wear & multiple player marks and dings on the top and scuffs on the sides. Price has been lowered accordingly. It has a natural gloss finish, double bound (rosewood binding). The Headstock is adorned with Silver Hardware, mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, rosewood bridge & Silver Tuners. The Neck is Straight, the Frets are good and joints are tight. The action at the 1st Fret is 1/16" and 3/16th" at the 12th. The Volume is strong and the tone is Sweet. This Rosewood Classical has opened up with age and plays out nicely. The Solid Spruce Top gives it a Clear tone, with a warm Intimate Sound. The notes are well balanced across its entire string range. Beautifully Defined Rosewood Body. It has a Low serial #3488 with a sweet, warm, pure note sound that only comes from Select Rosewood married with Solid Spruce. Handmade in Japan.
