Personalized Hand Knit Christmas Stocking w/ANGORA Santa Beard - Vintage Pattern This auction is for one Hand Knit / Hand-Knitted Christmas Stocking with a vintage 1950s design. My mother had this exact style stocking made for our family back in the late 1950s. My wife duplicated it by hand-knitting the same design for our family in the 1990s and beyond. She has knitted well over 100 stockings during the last 20 years and has some for sale here. These stockings take her over 10 hours to knit by hand and she has already made several for sale here. NO WAITING - These are ready to be shipped after adding the name in RED. The three main colors are made from 100% Acrylic yarn with Santa's Beard and Hair being made from 100% French Angora Yarn. There are three small bells - one on each side and one in the middle (see the photos). The top has a loop of the 3 colors of yarn that measures over 3 inches from which to hang the stocking. This loop is not included in the measurements below. As you can see from the photos (with a yard stick), the stocking measures about 20 inches long with a slight bend at the heel. As it lays flat the stocking measures between 4 and 5+ inches wide. The stocking will probably stretch a little longer and wider after being used and stuffed with presents over time. THE STOCKING FOR SALE DOES NOT INCLUDE THE WORD NOEL STITCHED ON IT. THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT THE STITCHING OF THE NAME LOOKS LIKE. The name of your choice will be stitched starting on the side that is visible when looking at the stocking hanging on the mantel and the toe pointing to the viewer's right. This is the same direction as photo number 1. The name will go from left to right with as much of the name showing as possible on the visible side. Up to 8 RED letters can be used for the name since 8 is the maximum for this pattern.
